We are very proud of our apple harvest this year! Last year we thought we would lose our apple tree as it seemed sick. But with a little TLC it seems to be feeling better!
This is our entire harvest!! LOL
It was exactly enough to make 8 mini apple pies with the girls ,
we even used our special autumn leaf shaped cutter for the lid!
Luckily my Mum has a big apple tree in her garden and we still have a plentiful supply.
Does anyone have a good apple recipe for us?
I can do apple pie / tart but that is my limit. I would love to try something new

I have a recipe for a 'Nutty Apple Loaf' I have not made it myself yet (I am currently cooking Pumpkin bread, soup and muffins as the pumpkin I bought yielded a 'little' more than i was expecting!!) but it is from my FAVE cooking book at the moment! It also has the plus of containing chocolate.....let me know if thats the kind of thing you were thinking of. xxx Ps glad you are feeling a wee bit better.
Hello Lee Ann, I so want some of that pie.
Hope you are well, I can't believe we are already in October and the days are shortening so rapidly.
I do an apple cake, I line my dish with grease proof paper, pour some golden syrup, core and slice my apples arrange them prettily on the golden syrup. I make a light sponge batter, Victoria style, or the all in one method would work very well, pour it on top of the apples, in medium oven till risen and golden, take it out turn over when slightly cool. Should be delicious. Ask if you need more details. It is one of my family's favorite.
Take care. xxx
