A very royal affair.

The girls and I enjoyed doing some Union Jack themed crafts for the big day. Some stickers,

And some miniture flags for our cupcakes and sandwiches.

We hung bunting

and bought special paper plates and cups.

There was tea and biscuits galore!!
Along with lots of sandwiches, sausage rolls and the ultimate party food. Cheese, sausages and pineapple (of course!). No pics I'm afraid, we were too enthralled by the ceremony at that point (and starving! lol)

Some very fine guests were in attendence

It was hilarious when we saw that good old Lizzie had stolen Beebs' wedding colour choice.

Ah, magical moments.

Fraser was not so enthralled, he stayed in bed for most of it. And in true male fashion, his comments were less than  festive. So he was sent off for a shower and to get ready for the street party.

After the wedding there was a street party held in the street where my Mum and Dad live. We continued to party on mass, with even Fraser and Misty getting into the spirit.

Friday 29th April 2011, is certainly a day we will remember.
We wish our future King and Queen a life filled with love, luck and hopefully a little fun along the way xx

Wedding fever!

We are gettig very excited over here. Tomorrow is the big day! K and I have been talking about it for weeks. Finally, tomorrow we will get to enjoy it!

Tomorrow is the day of the Royal Wedding, where Prince William and Kate Middleton will vow to spend the rest of their lives together. We will be watching history in the making.  The wedding of a true, real life Princess. Does it really get more exciting than that for a 5 year old girl?! (ok, ok and a 29 year old girl ;) )

I'm not sure why I hold such an affinity with this couple, pehaps it is because  I grew up at the same time as Prince William, we were born 1 year apart,,seeing his pictures and watching him attend all of his royal duties.

Maybe it is because he attended the same University as Murray and at the same time. He chose our sweet little corner of the earth to enjoy his simple and most normal years. Drinking in the local pubs, playing sports and just cycling around the streets, wearing jeans and a hoodie. No crown, no robes lol. The community just allowed him to be one of the locals, just another student.

I think it is also because they were best friends,  who fell in love at the same time as I fell in love with my best friend.

Whatever the reason, tomorrow morning we will be hanging some bunting

proudly waving our flags

and enjoying a red, white and blue , royal tea party. The girls will be dressed in their finest and all eyes will be glued to the tv screen, watching, in raptures, for a glimpse of the wedding dress of our beautiful future queen.

Can't wait!!
