Pink, pink and pussycats!

Well that is the parties over until December. I am a bit relieved, it is nice to have no deadlines!

I think my girly enjoyed her party, I managed to tie the themes of pinks and pussycats together in the end. There were a few ideas missing from the actual party, but really, these were things that K felt we didn't really need. At the end of the day my aim was to give her the party she had imagined and one she would enjoy. Check and check. In line with my New years resolution I even managed to let go of some of my perfectionism! I am quite proud! lol

Here are some pics of the fun

All set up

Fraser and I painted this banner for her

The flags using the same idea as last year

Here they are all scrubbed up

The detail on K's dress, I loved this dress and can't wait until she has another excuse to wear it!

Sparkly party shoes too, what more could a girl want?

The table, no one ate anything LOL they must have been having too much fun!

The pinkest pink cupcakes I could make!

K fell in love with this Hello Kitty cake while shopping for icing for the Pink cat cake we had planned. It was her party so she could get what she wanted. It wasn't pink, but it was a cat!

Face painting

Look! We even had a guest dressed in a full Kitty costume!

Here are the party bags. Not quite what I wanted for the actual bags, I made little cloth bags last year but 2 of the girls were the same so I didn't want to do exactly the same thing. In the end I just bought pink gift bags and they were all happy enough.

Inside was a toy Kitty I made from felt, a handmade notebook, 2 crayon "cakes" , some bubbles and I popped in some Birthday cake.
We made some placemats with the kids which they also got to take home. There are no pics as we kind of needed all hands on deck at that point and no hands were fee to take pics.

All of the Kitty's were different they were either a different colour or had different dresses.Their faces were all slightly different as they were sewn by hand, and I am not so good at sewing by hand. The white ones did not photograph well and you can't see the sweet pink whiskers

Happy Birthday to my Big girl who is 4! Looking forward to seeing what she will think up next year!

She must have loved it - you've really put the parties I've thrown for my kids to shame. I bet they adored their kitties.
