If all the raindrops were lemon drops and gum drops - oh what a rain that would be!

Well we have had a good share of rain here this week (regular rain not the exciting lemon drops kind ;))and some fairly impressive thunder storms.

I am really enjoying it to be honest! I actually quite like the rain and I can feel the novelty of the sunshine beginning to wear. The problem is that as soon as my birthday has passed my brain starts to sneak in some Christmas thoughts! I know it is crazy because it is only July but I am already beginning to think of recipes to make, gifts to give and crafts I can enjoy in the most wonderful season of them all!

Hmm only problem is that I am getting no washing done as I cant get it dried! Hope the sun comes back long enough for us to still have some clothes to wear!

Birthday girl!

Just wanted to say thankyou to everyone who made my Birthday so special! I was so touched by your kindness and have had the best Birthday weekend ever!

Just wanted to share a couple of pics, the first is of my cake, lovingly made by my sweet Husband and the kids.




The second is a very thoughtful gift from my Lor! She handmade me a blackboard for my new kitchen, around the edges she wrote words that she associates with me. Isn't she a clever girl???

Sunny days!

Now for those who know me, you will know how I am a winter gal. I just seem to be better built for the extra layers and frosty noses. But I am maybe in the midst of converting! (for a while at least :) I am sure I will soon be counting the days to looking out my coat!)
The weather has been fab here recently!And I am loving it! So we have been making the most of it by being out! Dinner in the garden, trips to the beach and park and visiting a funfair!

Fraser was runnning in his school sports today and K and I were on her playgroup trip. We visited Camperdown park and visited the mini zoo! It was fab and the ice creams to cool us down at the end were just what we needed!

Home sweet home!

Well, we have moved into our new home and FINALLY we have our internet connection again! yipee so excited! We are so happy and feel very lucky to be in our new home. It is everything we hoped it would be. Hopefully I will have something intersting to blog about soon and get me back in the mood!

Hello new house!!

Yay the Hamster wheel is changing location! After a long year of ups and downs the right house has finally found us!

In about 2 weeks we will get the keys and start decoratng and moving in, we are just so excited! A home of our own!

It is actually really close to where our house is at the moment and we have to pass it anytime we want to drive out of our town. As we drive past the opening to the street a wee voice in the back of the car pipes up,

"Hello New House!!! We'll be coming soon!! We'll be bringing all we're stuff!!"

It is too cute, especially the we're instead of our thing, melts my heart

Mucho furryness

Just thought I would pass the spotlight momentarily the the 5th member of our family. Our beloved Meatball! AKA Thalia, meaty meaty meaterson, THALILA (usually yelled by K if the puss is up to no good) , our hooooge one pussytat!

She is a beautiful silver and black tabby Maine Coon. Apparently her mum is pure silver and her Dad is a tabby, her mum is about the size of a regular cat and a good hunter. Her Dad rarely ventures out and is HUGE. Hmm guess who our little Princess takes after! She is really getting quite big already and research tells me they keep growing until they are 4 or 5! She is only 1 1/2 years old!

She is just a big , chunky lazy ball of fur and love . Like a big ol' meatball! Hence her nickname.

We do love her so!

In the pink

It is a sad week in the hamster wheel this week. My Grandad is in the hospital and it really at the end. Poor soul. So I have spent a lot of time there and not so much at home with my angels.

Yesterday Kirsten and I decided that some much needed girl time was in order! So we set off for a spot of window shopping. It was a glorious crisp and sunny day, we had a ball!

We even managed to squeeze in a little bit of cake!

Back in the saddle again ...

Oh dear I can't believe it is already Jan 30th! And only one post to my name for this whole month!

Life in the hamster wheel has kind of taken over!! I have had so little computer time! But never mind I am fully intending on changing that back to normal. Just a little reprioritising is needed , that's all ;)

So watch this space!
