Proud moment!

I am so pleased for Fraser!! I am so proud that he has been made a prefect!

It is lovely to see the teachers and his peers appreciating his maturity and responsible nature.

(Hope he brings it home with him!! KIDDING Fraser!)

Hand stitching the braid on was such a pleasure :-)

We love you and are so proud of you! Enjoy every moment of your final year xx

Three firsts and a last. Also known as - where did my babies go??

The first day back at school has come around again. The summer holidays have been and gone (sob!!) Bags are packed and everyone looks spiffy! All ready for a fresh start.
This year it was also a last first day for someone.

Primary five for this little beauty too!

12 years of schooling under his belt and only one to go!
I actually can't believe it.

He just loved a little bit of lovin' before he left....

And as if that wasn't bad enough.....

Joe boy started school this year too!!!

Thank goodness for this little chunk of love!!
He can soothe my heart and fill my arms while they are all off getting smarter.

Cousins.
**sigh**

(I love these two, they have such a sweet relationship)

All set ...

And ready for the off!

Have an amazing year you guys! Work hard, make friends, be kind, listen , learn and have fun!

And then come home and tell me all about it x

Back to school 2014

Even 71/2 weeks of summer holidays goes too fast!
It was so much fun but all great things have to come to and end....

...In order to make space for new beginnings

5th year (oh my!!) and Primary 4.

I can never choose just a few pics. I want them all! Ha ha

My favourite back to school pose, hands down.
I just hope Fraser realises that although, he may only have one more first day of school to go (holy smokes that's a scary thought!!) his sister has loads! So ,for the next 9 years,he will be expected to front up here for my favourite pic.

I hope it's a wonderful year for them both xx

Hands down , this is my favourite part of every school day.
Home time :-)

Alnwick castle

This year we were lucky enough to have weekend guests again.
One thing that we have been looking forward to all year and it was definitely on our bucket and spade list, was to visit Alnwick castle.

Parts of Harry Potter were filmed here as it was used as Hogwarts.

We were all very excited but our Potter fans (fraser and Lor) were especially excited.

The castle was simply stunning and it is still used as a family home today. It was filled with family photos and personal touches. I loved it. It had a lovely feel to it.

Kp acted as our tour guide for a bit.

Here are the boys following along behind our (super bossy) cute tour guide.

One of these windows was the one that Harry almost crashes into during his first broomstick lesson.

Happy Hogwarts guys!

We also found out that parts of the castle were used during filming of Robin Hood Primce of thieves!! One of my all time favourite movies.
It was such fun looking around to find familiar corners.
