June

Holy cheese people! I just skipped the whole entire month of June right there!!

 We had some good times in June! Some great times. But I have the highest of hopes for July! Oh the plans we have for July :-) we are currently working on a "bucket and spade list" and I will share  as soon as it is mostly complete. I feel it may be a work in progress.

I've kind of had a phone/iPad dump and there are a gazillion pics that should have been put on here in June! I think I'll drop the, right here into this one post and call it good. Not easy to find for future LeeAnn who wants to reminisce - but that's a problem for future LeeAnn to sort out! :-)

Dear future LeeAnn - this is the post where you decided to do a month of "blogging" in just one post. Cut yourself a break, June isn't a good month for you remember? It's the month where your babies seem to get even more grown up as they say goodbye to another school year. You're an emotional wreck. A mess. Enough said! Moving along ......

Happiness is...

It was warm and fun and blissful. Thanks girls :-) 

Kirsten took part in a fabulous ballet/dance show.

She was amazing, fun, energetic, graceful and unforgettable.

I was proud.

This girl is pure sweetness. Everyone should have this much goodness in their lives. 

She makes my little mama heart so happy.

I wore a cardigan that I have owned for over 3 years but never fitted into!!

My poor boy finally got his very own kindle case! 

He was very patient and only asked once or twice of I'd had time to make it. 

(I'm lying. He asked a bazillion times! But he has been waiting for weeks! Maybe even months! Poor neglected child) 

This pair seem to think it's ok to keep completing school years and getting bigger! 

I have NO IDEA where they got the idea that is is acceptable behaviour.

I must have words. 

Kirsten managed to have a whole sleepover with Beebs , granny and grandad! 

The success may have something to do with the fact that she packed all of her worldly possessions!! 

And finally , the furry one still seems to have lost her marbles. 

The one part of the end of a school year that I like (apart from the actual summer holidays of course) is the fact that the kids get to bring their school work home. 

This little treasure was just tucked in beside a whole lot of masterpieces. 

My heart was singing.

Celebrating

Today I am celebrating :-). I went to my slimming world group this morning and I have reached my club 10 target. That is a loss of 10% of my body weight!! I am so pleased.

My BMI has gone from 29 to 26.2.

I feel better and fitter and more "me". My lifestyle change, weight loss and some nice changes at work means I am so much happier.

I think I maybe have another 6lbs to go until my final target, i have not decided where I want to stop yet.

For now I am just enjoying my journey to a healthier place :-)

And ...... Relax

It has taken me so long to get back on here to update and share our photos. Life keeps on rolling and it's been difficult for me to find the time to visit my little happy corner. But a change is coming and I am looking forward to that day. Hopefully only one week to go :-)

 With the Hamster wheel hurtling along at full speed, we were in need of a little visit to our happy place. A little Friday to Monday getaway which was nothing short of magical.

We can almost pin point the exact stretch of road where we begin to feel it.

Mis K brought her new camera with her and she made me so proud. She has a great eye for a great shot and never missed one opportunity. From here on out, if you see a pic with this yellow time/date stamped on it - It is a K pic.

When we arrived we immediately visited the town centre so the kids could visit their favourite shops and pick up some goodies/new toys for our night in the hotel.

It was my favourite kind of day, sunny and cold with snowy showers :-)

We enjoyed a lovely meal out and had a stroll along the "big" bridge.

K was feeling ca-ray-zeee and without a word of a lie, she almost went over the side of this bridge. Murray and I almost lost our minds!  It was one of the scariest moments of my life!!

The tooth fairy did a great job of finding us at our hotel :-)

Back to the safety of solid ground.

Exhale.

The next morning we woke to some more beautiful cold sunshine and we finally got our feet on the gorgeous sand of our favourite beach.

These two just made everything perfect. They are prone to a squabble or two but his weekend? They played and ran and shared and enjoyed each others company.

My mama heart was bursting at the seams.

A perfect mix of fun and serenity.

Dropping by

Just dropping by to try out my new blogger app, for the iPad.

I am currently snuggled on the couch with murray, watching the Grand Prix and trying not to think about my holidays being over!! Boo :-( I still have a day of cooking and nesting tomorrow though.

It has been a lovely week where I managed to enjoy lots of down time, balanced out by lots of family time and even sewing time!

Perfect.

And now I am dreaming of winning the lottery so I can stay at home everyday!

I really need to remember to use The ipad to take more pics. There are only a few on here and I think the quality is much better than my phone. But obviously good old Hilda is much much handier :-)

Food is a huge part of my days at the moment. But 9 weeks in I am 11lbs down and have another weigh in tomorrow :-) I am starting to see a difference in my shape now and even some of my clothes.

We leave for our happy place in 6 sleeps (and i cant wait!!) and I really wanted my stone award by then, but I'll just have to take what I get. I'm sticking to the plan and working hard, if my progress is slow and steady, so be it. It is still progress.

Does anyone have any thoughts on blogging apps? The one I've used tonight is the free blogger app , but I don't like having all of the pics just added at the end. I think I will need to do some more research to allow me more freedom with my pics :-)

Dear Kirsten,

I can't believe it is 7 years ago that you came into our lives and completed our family. You get smarter, funnier and more beautiful with each day that passes.

You bring joy to our lives (and yes that includes Fraser, although he will never admit it!)

We are so proud of you,  kindness, sincerity and happiness shines from you.
