A party for a Princess

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there lived a beautiful young princess.

She had golden hair,

and wore beautiful gowns.

With jewels on her shoes

and butterflies in her hair,

she was the most beautiful girl in the land.

On the occasion of her 5th Birthday,



a party was held in her honour.

With party boxes for all of her Princess friends,

complete with a wand,

a white chocolate wand pop with royal sprinkles,

some pearls (of course)

and some bubbles.

Flower garlands were made for their hair. 

Princess K handed these out when everyone arrived so they could wear them throughout the party.

Princess Kirsten decided that only the special Birthday Princess should have one of these special wands.

A feast was prepared.

And a happy but serious little Princess waited patiently for her guests to arrive.

The little Princesses feasted and dined

Princess Kirsten listened while they all sang to her.

She made a wish and blew her candles out.

After the royal feast, the princesses played some games.

 Very soon it was time.The time they had all been waiting for.

Aunt Sarah, the magical Nail fairy arrived.

And with her, she brought treasures galore.

The little Princesses enjoyed their party.

Their Mummies and Daddies arrived and they all returned to their homes throughout the Kingdom.

And the beautiful Princess Kirsten lived happily ever after.

Friday 4th March.

I found that little piece of plastic that keeps me in my happy place! ;) lol.

On Friday our girly celebrated her 5th Birthday just as it should be. Surrounded by family. She had a lovely day and she twirled and skipped and smiled from the moment she opened her eyes at 5.45am!

K so wanted this number 5 for her cake! So wat the heart wants.....

K loved everyone who came to visit, but she holds a very special place in her heart for two people..

Technical hitch.

K had a wonderful birthday yesterday. She celebrated with all of her family around her.

She is 5.

I took a load if photos but can't upload them. I can't find the little wireless thing (technical term ) for the laptop.

Tomorrow is her Princess party and we are super excited about it all! Hopefully we'll find the thingy and be able to share our fun birthday weekend.

Battle plan.

The next few days are going to be crazy busy around here. But I also need to enjoy it and not overshadow the fun with my stress. So, I have come up with a battle plan to see me through.

Good things come to those who wait.

In May last year, I sat down one Wednesday and wrote a wishlist. Lor Lor used to write a post for wishlist Wednesday and I just had to join in. 

My wish was for a crafting space. I had a small pile of crafty accessories in the corner of my bedroom and I wanted more space. I drooled over bloggy craft spaces and dreamt of a place to store my stash. 

The problems? No space. All of our rooms are spoken for. I also work from home so all available spare space, downstairs, is taken up with storing toys. 

No money. I didn't have the spare pennies to spend on all of the things I would need.

My big sister  read my wishlist and immediately started gathering supplies for me.

I rearranged my bedroom and she gave me an old computer cupboard.

I spent a whole £5 on a sweet little chair in our local second hand shop and I had a start.

This corner has basically been unuseable ever since. It really wasn't handy to have to pull everything out and spread it around my bed, just to make a workable space.

But I was patient.

Last summer my sister gifted,to me, some shelves from her salon and I tucked them away in my corner.

I have been given baskets, tins, containers and other odds and ends.

Finally, I called my Dad and asked him to help me.

Yesterday was the day and I was bursting with excitement.

It felt like Christmas day.

My little space is done. My very own little patch of craftiness.

I honestly thought I might burst with excitement! LOL. I couldn't stop smiling that I finally had my space.  Last night as I was trying to fall asleep, I kept opening my eyes and peeking over at it , just wondering what craft will break it in! Hopefully some princess party bunting, if the bias tape ever arrives!

And then my Dad tipped out all of the screws from these dinky little boxes, with lids and handles and left them on the shelf for me. (Best Dad ever) So cute, so handy and just begging for something cute to embellish them :-)

Finally a home for the super sweet sewing box that my Mother in law gave me as a birthday gift in July last year.

And my little Daisy picture from Beebs is finding her niche in my little corner.

I am sure I will add some little touches and fun here and there.
