Knock three times
What a wake up! At 2am the other morning I was sleeping soundly. All of a sudden there was a loud knock at the door! I leapt out of bed and ran to answer it (dressed ever so beautifully in a long(ish) black vest ;) ) When I opened the door there was K standing on the other side! "more milk please mummy?" LOL I settled her back into bed and she went back to sleep and so did I, thinking how cute she was to have knocked!
Next morning I asked Murray if he had heard the door in the night, he replied " Yep, although I don't know who you thought you were going to answer the door to dressed like that!!!!!"
I hadnt even thought of that! Oops!

It's official!
The Princess is all grown up! Her first real day at Playgroup today! She was dressed an ready to go at 8.30, had her pack pack (back pack ;)) on and everything! Unfortunately it doesnt start until 9.15 but it is good to be organised!
As soon as we arrived she found her coat peg and ran straight in to get started! She did manage to blow a kiss to me as an after thought. She had almost as many smiles as I had tears!!
I am so glad to have her home again , my girl.

The Princess goes to Taytoop!

Today was a big day in the Hamster wheel! The Princess had her first day at Playgroup! (or Taytoop as she calls it) She was so grown up in her little playgroup polo shirt, I was able to stay with her today and she did great, I am sad and nervous for Monday though as she will be staying by herself for a whole 2.5 hours!!
What a big girl , where has all the time gone??

One of the best days ever!
I have had a lovely day. Went to work this morning and had the most perfect time! Was on such a high when I left and headed home.
Kirsten was still napping when I got in, so I got to spend some childfree time chatting with my Mum.
When K got up she was so thrilled to see me and gave me one of the best cuddles ever. My heart just bursts thinking about how amazing and loving she is.
We ate lunch with her being all snuggly with mum and me, it was a great day so we decided to go for a walk.
Mum dropped us off so K could walk home with her pram, we went into the bank where she charmed the lady and did a great proud mummy act with her baby (so cute!) She walked like a star and we had so much fun chatting about the various shops.
On our way home we passed the hall where The playgroup is (where I work with MIL and SIL) K asked if we could go in to visit and so of course we did. She had such a great time playing with everything, swinging in the chair swing on the garden. Drinking a tiny carton of milk and generally having a ball.
All too soon it was time to keep heading on home, she was happy to leave, enjoyed bumping her pram over the cobbles along the way. I felt sad when I had to say no to playing in the park that we passed but she
said no problem and remembered that we had to be home in time for Fraser arriving home.
Once Fraser was home he wanted to go out to fly his kite. Well after the half hour that it took me to build the thing (it was such a fab kite flying day that the instructions had blown away! haha ) we headed round to the playing field and taught ourseves how to fly it. It was great! We were both rubbish But Fraser's best friend Melissa was a natural !!
Just wanted to write this dow so when it all goes pear shaped tomorrow I can remember just how good I have it

A different view from the HaMster wheel!
Life in the Hamster Wheel is usually far from dull but recently it has been crazy! In the last 6 weeks we have
Had the summer holidays
Had chicken pox
Moved out for a week and had our whole house redecorated (lots of fun while dealing with lack of sleep from the aforementioned chicken pox!)
Had a lovely week long holiday at the sea side (a different sea side to where we live ;) )
Moved back in to our beautiful newly decorated house
Started back to school
Finished working with Sarah at Astara
And started a new job working in the playgroup alongside Fiona and Christine (MIL and SIL)
PHEW!!! Now is the time we need a holiday! LOL
It shows no sign of letting up yet as we are heading full throttle into the Princess starting at Playgroup! I am getting the fridge all ready so I can display those paintings with the pride they deserve!

I have to go shopping now ............
Yesterday my Mum and I took the cherubs shopping for some new summer clothes. They were in need of a few bits and bobs for our holidays. The difference between the shopping styles of a boy and a girl are unbeleivable! I can see the future man and woman already!
Fraser -
Has to be dragged kicking and screaming into anything that closely resembles a clothes shop.
Dislikes anything you show to him , unless it has Doctor Who characters emblazoned over the front.
Refuses to try anything on.
Makes a beeline for anything expensive and or remotely gadget like. Ignored us when we were pulling out lovely T shirts and shorts and instead was drooling over a "man bag" with lots of little pockets for all of his "stuff" (which he got may I add! Granny Mary is a soft touch) Oh Mum look at this it is ONLY £90 what a bargain! Look at these cool doctor who socks! They are only £7! (me) are they silk sweetie? I would like at least 10 pairs for £7!
Once we get home he jumps out of the car with whatever new toy/gadget he has conned out of one of us. Leaving all of the bags and the new clothes, that we actually went to buy still in the boot, doesnt look for it again until he needs it to be fully washed ironed and folded in his drawer ready to put on at the exact moment he needs it.
Kirsten -
Is the first one racing into clothes shops , all you can hear is cooing and calls of "oooh this luuly (lovely), me like, me buy" "Oh me fancy"
Loves everything you pick out! The enthusiasm pours out of her, wants to buy everything!
Is already half stripped by the time you reach the childrens section. She knows what is coming! No room for embaressment about being half naked in a shop full of strangers! Going to a changing room uses up so much more shopping time, didn't you know!
Makes a beeline for anything pink and girly, twirly skirts, broderie anglaise. This girl knows what flatters her and sticks with it! And luckily she has an eye for a bargain! Although this doesn't impare on her impeccable taste!
Once we get home she steps out of the car in the new jacket that we bought for her, as she just couldnt wait to use it. As she struggles in carrying the bag twice the size of herself , stuffed full with all of the goodies, she is already starting to strip off. A girl must put on a fashion show of all the new treats she has been given. She struts and twirls just like any mini supermodel should.
LOL Sound familiar?? I am sure this is a similar scenario that goes on worldwide within marriages everywhere.
Stereotypical?? much??
